Frequently asked questions
Is rasi palan based on my Moon sign or Sun sign?
Vedic rasi palan uses your Moon sign (rasi), the sign the Moon was in when you were born, not your Sun sign. Your Moon sign is in your kundli, and it can differ from the Sun sign you may know from Western horoscopes.
How is today's rasi palan calculated?
We take today's positions of the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn and count the house each one is in from your sign. The Moon's house sets the mood of the day, and Jupiter and Saturn add the longer background. The wording is picked from a set of plain sentences, so it is the same for everyone with this sign.
Is it free, and is it certain?
It is free to read. It shows tendencies for the day, not certainties, so use it as gentle guidance. For a reading based on your own birth time, use the free kundli or the 12-month forecast.
